Grande Centre Point Ploenchit is an upscale hotel at 100 Wireless Road, the smallest of the Grande Centre Point hotels in the centre. BTS Phloen Chit is the nearest station: the hotel’s website puts Exit 5 about 200 m away, across the overcrossing, with the hotel on your left.

Central Embassy is 2 to 5 minutes on foot and Central Chidlom about 5, so errands do not need a train or taxi. Chit Lom station is the next stop on the BTS.

Overview

All 277 rooms have a private balcony, which is unusual in a central Bangkok tower. The entry room is the 38 m2 Superior Balcony, followed by the 42 m2 Deluxe Balcony. Above them sit the 67 m2 Junior Balcony Suite, the 75 m2 Corner Balcony Suite and two- and three-bedroom suites of 96 and 131 m2, with a 270 m2 penthouse at the top. For a long stay, the larger suites give separate rooms to retreat to.

The hotel is a short walk from malls and the BTS, and Siam is two stops away on the train. It keeps things simple: one restaurant, a pool and a spa. Among the Centre Point group it is the compact option, compared with the larger towers in Centre Point hotels compared.

Bumrungrad International Hospital is about 1.4 km away, a 20-minute drive according to the hotel’s FAQ, which makes it workable for outpatient visits.

Tip: Leave the BTS by Exit 5 and cross the overcrossing, then the hotel is on your left; this avoids the street-level crossing on Wireless Road with luggage.

BlueSpice

BlueSpice is the hotel’s restaurant, serving Thai and international dishes in a bright, modern room. The hotel’s website lists no other dining venue, so most guests mix breakfast here with meals in nearby malls.

Central Embassy and Central Chidlom, both a short walk away, have the wider choice for lunch and dinner.

Amenities

The hotel has an outdoor pool, a bubble pool and a sundeck with views over the city’s greenery. A fitness centre and Let’s Relax Spa are on site, and the hotel also runs two clinics: Stretch-Me and WellnessMe, the latter offering IV treatments.

Wi-Fi is free in every room. Balconies mean fresh air without leaving the room, useful on days when the heat makes walking unattractive.
