Essentials
Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong is an upscale Marriott hotel on Ploenchit Road, in the Ratchaprasong shopping district. The hotel’s website lists a direct connection to Chit Lom BTS station, so the train is a short covered walk from the lobby and you do not need to cross a main road to reach it.
The building rises 33 floors above the junction, with the malls and the skywalk network around it. From Chit Lom one stop reaches Siam and one stop the other way reaches Phloen Chit, which keeps most of central Bangkok within a short ride.
Overview
Marriott’s room pages start the suite range with a Junior Studio Suite of 51 m2 and a Club Studio Suite of 53 m2, followed by the Renaissance Suite at 72 m2 and a three-bedroom Presidential Suite of 226 m2. Club lounge access comes with the Junior Studio, Club Studio, Renaissance and Presidential suites. The lounge serves breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails.
Being this close to the station means you can go back to the room at midday, rest, and head out again by train without a taxi. It is a poor fit if you want a quiet, low-rise setting: Ratchaprasong is a busy junction and the hotel is part of it.
Among the hotels along this stretch of the Sukhumvit line, this is the one with the most direct station link. The hotels near Siam and Chit Lom page sets it beside the other options in the area.
Tip: If the lounge matters, book a Club Studio or higher so access is part of the room. Marriott’s pages also extend lounge access to Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members.
Food and drink
Fei Ya
The hotel’s website describes Fei Ya as a Chinese restaurant known for Peking duck and refined dim sum. It suits a sit-down meal for a small group without leaving the building.
La Tavola
La Tavola serves Italian food at dinner, and works for an evening when you want a table without going out into the Ratchaprasong crowds.
Flavors
Flavors is on the Mezzanine floor and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is the default place for the morning meal.
Amenities
The pool is on the 33rd floor. The hotel describes it as semi-indoor with skyline views, and the H2O pool bar serves drinks and light bites from a wellness-inspired menu. A fitness centre and a spa are also on site.
The station link is the main convenience: the route to Chit Lom runs through the neighbouring mall, which keeps you out of the rain and midday heat. The malls around the hotel are within a short covered walk, which helps if you prefer to shop and eat in air conditioning.

Where to stay
Pick the area before the hotel
Traffic and heat make Bangkok distances feel longer than they look on a map, so the area shapes a trip more than the hotel does. Our guides match areas to trip types and explain the trade-offs.
