Hotel Tranz is a mid-range hotel at 53 Phayathai Road, directly in front of the Airport Rail Link’s Phayathai station. The hotel’s website gives the walk to the rail link as a few steps and to BTS Phayathai as 12 to 15 m, and the two stations connect.

That makes it one of the shortest transfers from the airport train: ride to Phaya Thai, walk out of the station and into the lobby. The hotel’s website counts Victory Monument one BTS stop away, Siam two stops (about 5 minutes) and Silom or the business district three stops.

Overview

Rooms come in Superior (22 m2), Executive (26 m2) and Deluxe (28 m2), plus a Superior double-and-single room for three guests. The Deluxe room has a king bed and a sofa bed. The Executive room has a full-size bathtub and a sofa that folds into an extra bed. All rooms have air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a safe and a hair dryer. Two connecting options join Superior or Executive rooms for four or five guests.

Tip: Arriving by train, leave the rail link platform for the Phayathai Road side and the hotel is in front of you, so there is no taxi to queue for.
