Essentials
Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit is an upscale tower hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 13, with 273 rooms including 21 suites, according to Hyatt. A sky bridge joins the building to BTS Nana, so the walk from lobby to platform stays off the street.
That link matters on this stretch of Sukhumvit. Nana is the busy end of the strip, with pavement stalls, tuk-tuks and heat at ground level. Here you go up to the walkway, reach the station without crossing a road and change to the MRT at Asok, one stop along the line.
Overview
The hotel occupies part of a 31-storey mixed-use development. Standard rooms start at 35 m2, which is generous for a central Bangkok hotel, and guests can use a smartphone as a room key. The Regency Club lounge is on the 27th floor.
At 273 rooms it is the smallest of the large hotels around Nana and Asok (see the Nana and Asok hotel comparison). The trade is the setting: Soi 13 is a short walk from late-night Nana, so a high floor is the way to get quiet.
Tip: Book a room above the 15th floor if you sleep lightly, and use the sky bridge on the way back in the evening instead of walking Soi 13 after dark.
Food and drink
Market Cafe
Market Cafe is the all-day restaurant on the 4th floor, serving Thai food. It is where breakfast is served, and Hyatt lists weekend buffets here as well. It suits a slow breakfast or an early dinner without leaving the building.
Spectrum Lounge & Bar
Spectrum is the rooftop bar on the top floors, with Western food, grilled meats and seafood, cocktails and live music or DJ sets in the evening. It is a late venue, so ask for a lower room if you do not want to hear it, and treat it as a drink with a view rather than a quiet dinner.
The hotel also has a lobby lounge bar.
Amenities
The outdoor pool is on the 6th floor, surrounded by planting, with a whirlpool, pool bar, lockers and a steam room. The gym is open 24 hours, with a cardio zone, a strength zone and free weights.
Regency Club access comes with club rooms and suites. According to Hyatt, it includes continental breakfast, refreshments through the day and evening canapes and drinks, and the lounge has indoor and outdoor seating for 66.
For getting around, the sky bridge to Nana BTS is the main accessibility point: it takes you from the hotel to the station without crossing a road. The hotel is about 25 km from Don Mueang Airport and 33 km from Suvarnabhumi by road, so plan a taxi or the Airport Rail Link plus BTS rather than a short hop.

Where to stay
Pick the area before the hotel
Traffic and heat make Bangkok distances feel longer than they look on a map, so the area shapes a trip more than the hotel does. Our guides match areas to trip types and explain the trade-offs.
