Essentials
Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is a 32-storey luxury hotel with 345 rooms and suites on Sukhumvit Road between Soi 13 and Soi 15. According to its website, a skywalk connects the building to BTS Asok, MRT Sukhumvit and the Terminal 21 mall, so the walk to the Asok interchange is above the street.
That sky bridge is the main practical point. The interchange is where the BTS Sukhumvit line meets the MRT, and a sky bridge that avoids street crossings is a real advantage in Bangkok’s heat. Nana BTS is the other nearby station, further along Sukhumvit Road.
Overview
The room grades on the Sofitel site start with Luxury rooms of 37 m2 and Magnifique and Family rooms of 42 m2, then rise through suites to an Imperial Suite with a study and a two-bedroom Club Millésime suite of 127 m2 for up to six guests. Club Millésime rooms come with access to an exclusive lounge.
Because the tower is tall, the upper floors are well above the street, and a high floor is the simplest way to get a quieter room on a busy road. The hotel lists wheelchair accessibility among its services; ask about the step-free route to the sky bridge when you book.
Among the Nana and Asok hotels, it is the one that does not force a choice between the two stations, and the one with a sky bridge to the interchange. See the full comparison of hotels around Nana and Asok.
Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor, away from the Sukhumvit Road side, for less street noise.
Food and drink
Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie
Belgian cuisine on floor 32, described by the hotel as the first Belgian restaurant in Bangkok, with a rooftop bar.
La Terrasse
Thai and international dishes with poolside views on the 9th floor. It suits a long lunch next to the water.
Bella Sera
An Italian restaurant serving lunch and dinner, with pizza, pasta and desserts.
The hotel also lists Maison Mizuki, a Japanese-inspired whisky and cocktail bar in the main lobby, and Le Macaron, a patisserie and delicatessen.
Amenities
The pool was recently refurbished and sits on the 9th floor with the La Terrasse dining area. Sofitel Spa with L’Occitane offers treatments that combine Thai healing traditions with modern ones. Sofitel Fitness is open 24 hours and has personal trainers; its entrance is connected to BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit.
For a longer stay, the practical benefits are the sky bridge to the trains, the choice of restaurants in the building and a gym that is open around the clock.

Where to stay
Pick the area before the hotel
Traffic and heat make Bangkok distances feel longer than they look on a map, so the area shapes a trip more than the hotel does. Our guides match areas to trip types and explain the trade-offs.
