Phyathai 2 International Hospital: 550 beds at 943 Phaholyothin Road, near Sanam Pao BTS, JCI accredited, with booking channels and a check-up offer.

On this page
Phyathai 2 International Hospital is the 550-bed flagship of the Phyathai group, at 943 Phaholyothin Road, Samsen Nai, Phaya Thai, Bangkok 10400, near Sanam Pao BTS station, one stop before Victory Monument. It opened on 22 July 1987, holds Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, and runs a dedicated international patient service. This guide covers how to reach it, what it offers, how to book, and what to ask before you pay.
What is Phyathai 2 International Hospital?
Phyathai 2 is one of six hospitals in the Phyathai group. The group’s own site calls it the “550-bed flagship international hospital”. Its campus covers 11,204 square metres in two buildings, and its page reports about 50,000 outpatients and 1,600 inpatients per month. Wikipedia adds 76 diagnostic rooms and about 2,000 outpatients per day.
The hospital describes its approach as “World class quality with Thai hospitality”. If you are still deciding between branches, the comparison in Phyathai 3 and its sister branches sets all six side by side. This guide goes deeper on Phyathai 2 only.
What is the Phyathai 2 hospital address, and where is it on the map?
The official address is 943 Phaholyothin Road, Samsennai, Phayathai District, Bangkok 10400. Write or show it in this form to a taxi driver, and keep the Thai name of the hospital on your phone as well.
For a map, the hospital’s own page carries a Google Maps directions link and a 360-degree virtual tour, which are the quickest way to see the entrance before you arrive. Wikipedia notes that the site has two buildings, so confirm at booking which building your appointment is in.

How do I get to Phyathai 2 by BTS?
The hospital sits near Sanam Pao BTS station (code N4) on the Sukhumvit Line. Sanam Pao is on Phahon Yothin Road near Soi Phahon Yothin 3, opened on 5 December 1999, and has Ari as the previous station and Victory Monument as the next one.
That makes the hospital easy to reach from the rest of the BTS network:
- Take the Sukhumvit Line and get off at Sanam Pao (N4).
- Follow the map link to the hospital at 943 Phahon Yothin Road.
- If you come from Victory Monument, you are one stop away.
Check the walking route on the map link before you go.

Is Phyathai 2 a hospital near Victory Monument?
Yes, in the sense that matters for planning: Victory Monument is the BTS station directly after Sanam Pao on the Sukhumvit Line. If you are staying around Victory Monument, you can ride one stop to Sanam Pao and walk. If you are staying near Ari, you can ride one stop the other way.
Where should I stay near Phyathai 2?
For a hotel near the hospital, search by station rather than by hospital name: Sanam Pao is the closest, with Ari and Victory Monument one stop either side. Hotels along the BTS line let you reach the hospital without a taxi, which helps if you have early blood tests that require fasting. Check the walking distance from the hotel to the hospital on a map, and ask whether the hotel offers late check-out if your appointment runs long.

What services are offered by Phyathai 2 Hospital?
The hospital’s page highlights four centres: heart, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and gastro women’s health. The group as a whole lists 27 specialty centres across its six branches, so do not assume every group centre is at this site: ask whether the specialty you need is at Phyathai 2.
Its site menu points to these sections: Find Doctors, Book Appointment, Patient and Visitor Guide, Packages and Promotions, Centers and Payment. Current promotions listed on the page include:
- robotic knee replacement
- a summer health check-up
- a second-chance fertility programme
- dialysis services
- emergency tourist medical care
- the 2026 celebration health check campaign
Is Phyathai 2 accredited, and what does that mean?
The group site states that Phyathai 2 is accredited by Joint Commission International and is the only branch in the group with JCI. Wikipedia dates the accreditation to 2014. The hospital’s page also says it was the first hospital to receive accreditation for quality assurance and customer satisfaction, which is the hospital’s own wording. The group site also reports that it was named Medical Tourism Hospital of the Year (Thailand) at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2026.
For how JCI compares with other types of accreditation, see JCI vs private vs public hospitals.

How do I book a Phyathai 2 hospital appointment?
The group lists these booking routes: the website’s Book Appointment flow, the hotline, the LINE Official Account and the Facebook page. The central line is 1772, and the Phyathai 2 number on the hospital page is 02 617 2444.
For international patients, the hospital’s International Center takes enquiries with English support:
- LINE Official: @pt2_inter
- WhatsApp: +66-61-178-1767
- The website is available in Thai, English, Japanese, Chinese, Khmer and Arabic.
When you contact them, give your preferred date, the specialty you need, whether you have insurance, and your passport nationality, and ask for a written confirmation of the time, the building and the doctor’s name.
How do I find Phyathai 2 hospital doctors?
The hospital site has a Find Doctors section. Use it to check a doctor’s specialty before you book, and then ask the booking team to confirm that the doctor sees patients on your date and speaks your language. Interpreters and multilingual coordinators are part of the international service, but language support differs by doctor and by clinic, so ask by name.
What health check-ups and promotions are on offer?
The group’s package catalogue states that pricing is transparent with no hidden fees, that several payment options are supported, and that most packages may be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Categories include annual physicals, cardiac and cancer screening, antenatal care, vaccination, pre-travel screening and senior wellness.
The Phyathai 2 hospital promotion on its page as of October 2026 is the 2026 Celebration Health Check Campaign:
| Programme | Healthcare vouchers with purchase |
|---|---|
| Get Checked Together | 4 x THB 1,000 (THB 4,000 in total) |
| Ultimate Program | 6 x THB 1,000 (THB 6,000 in total) |
Terms from the campaign page:
- vouchers are valid from 1 July to 31 December 2026, for your next visit to Phyathai 2;
- they apply to most medical programmes, but not to the Get Checked Together and Ultimate Health Check-Up Program packages themselves;
- the minimum spend is THB 1,000 per receipt, and the service must cost more than the voucher value;
- the maximum discount is THB 6,000 per transaction;
- vouchers can be used by family or friends.
The page says the check-up takes about 3 to 5 hours and asks you to fast for at least 8 hours beforehand, drinking only plain water. It names adults over 30, people with a family history of chronic disease, busy professionals and expatriates in Thailand as the intended audience. For package prices, call 1772 or the International Center, and request the inclusions in writing. For a wider comparison of what check-ups contain, see executive health check-up packages.

What should I ask before I go?
- Which building and floor? The campus has two buildings.
- Is the specialist on site on my date? Ask for the doctor’s name.
- Is there an interpreter? Ask for a named coordinator.
- What is the written estimate? Ask what is included and what is billed separately.
- Does the hospital bill my insurer directly? Bring your policy number and read health insurance for expats for the questions to ask your insurer.
- Is the hospital the right fit? Our guide to choosing a hospital covers the trade-offs.
What about Phyathai 2 hospital reviews and photos?
Read several recent reviews rather than one star score, and prefer reviews about the department you need. Treat marketing pages, including the hospital’s own, as claims to verify. For Phyathai 2 hospital photos, the hospital’s 360-degree virtual tour is the current view of the buildings; photos of the BTS line and nearby road, like those on this page, help you recognise the area on arrival.
