Yanhee Hospital Guide: Access, Dental, Booking, Reviews
Yanhee International Hospital explained for foreigners: address, Bang O MRT access, departments, dental care, interpreters, booking steps and questions to ask.

On this page
Hospital Yanhee, formally Yanhee International Hospital, is a private 400-bed hospital at 454 Charan Sanit Wong Road in Bang Phlat, northern Bangkok. It offers cosmetic surgery alongside general medical departments and a 24-hour dental centre, and employs interpreters for foreign patients. This guide covers the hospital as a whole: how to reach it, what it offers beyond cosmetics, how booking works, how to read its reviews, and what to ask before you pay anything. For procedure prices, see the separate guide to Yanhee plastic surgery procedures and prices.
What is Yanhee International Hospital?
Yanhee opened in 1984 as a small outpatient clinic and was named after the nearby Yanhee Power Plant, according to Wikipedia. It has since grown into a 15-storey building with 400 inpatient beds, an 18-bed intensive care unit, 12 major operating theatres and 30 further operating rooms. Wikipedia lists 36 treatment centres across general medicine and cosmetics, and says the hospital serves about 2,000 outpatients a day and runs round the clock, including 24-hour emergency care.
Accreditation claims need checking at the source. Wikipedia reports Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation from 22 January 2011, renewed every three years, plus Thai hospital accreditation and an early ISO 9001 certificate. The same article leans on promotional material, so confirm the current JCI status with JCI itself before relying on it. For what accreditation does and does not guarantee, read choosing a hospital and JCI vs private vs public hospitals.
What is the Yanhee Hospital address and how do you get there?
The address listed by a medical-tourism directory is 454 Charan Sanit Wong Road, Bang O, Bang Phlat, Bangkok 10700. Wikipedia places it in the Bang O area of Bang Phlat district on Charansanitwong Road, and notes a car park of about 500 spaces.
By rail, the hospital is near Bang O MRT station on the Blue Line, an elevated station that opened on 4 December 2019 (station code BL08, with Bang Phlat BL07 next along). Check the walking route in a map app and ask the hospital which entrance suits your appointment.

Tips for arriving:
- Book your first appointment, or at least send your documents, before you travel, so someone is expecting you.
- Check the route on the day: the hospital is in northern Bangkok, on Charan Sanit Wong Road.
- If you need a place to stay nearby after treatment, the recovery stay guide explains how to choose one, and a directory lists accommodation booking among the hospital’s international-patient services.
What departments and services does Yanhee offer beyond cosmetics?
A medical-tourism directory lists these departments: heart sciences, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynaecology, neurology, orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, oncology, transplants and urology, plus a cosmetic and beauty centre. Wikipedia adds an emergency department, a delivery room and nursery, a diagnostic laboratory, a dialysis room and a catheterisation laboratory.
Practical consequences:
- A department appearing on a listing does not mean every procedure is available every week. Ask which named doctor handles your case.
- For wellness or alternative-medicine programmes, ask for the doctor’s name, what the programme involves, what it costs in writing, and what evidence supports the claimed benefit.
- For serious conditions such as heart disease or cancer, a second opinion is reasonable at any hospital; see cancer treatment and second opinions in Bangkok and cardiac care in Bangkok.

Does Yanhee have a dental centre, and what does dental care cost?
Yes. A directory lists a 24-hour dental centre, and a Bookimed page describes general dental treatment, implants, teeth whitening, root canals, orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery. The same Bookimed page estimates porcelain veneers at about 15,500 THB per tooth (~USD 455; aggregator estimate, 9 October 2026). Prices change, so ask the dental centre for an itemised written quote that states what is included: examination, X-rays, materials, lab work and follow-up visits.

Before committing to a multi-visit treatment such as implants or veneers, compare quotes. The dental treatment in Bangkok guide and the page on emergency dental care in Bangkok give context for typical options and urgent situations. A hospital dental centre that is open 24 hours may suit an urgent problem, but confirm by phone before you travel across the city.

Does Yanhee have English support?
Wikipedia says the hospital employs a number of interpreters because of its many foreign patients, and a directory lists translators and interpreters among its international-patient services. A place to start: ask for the international patient office.
The directory lists these other services for international patients:
- accommodation and flight booking
- airport pickup and drop-off
- insurance coordination
- air ambulance
- an international patient lounge
- visa booking support and local transport booking
- currency exchange, a SIM card and meal choices
- prayer facilities
Treat this as a menu to ask about, not a guarantee. Some services may carry a fee, so ask what is free and what is charged. If you hold travel or health insurance, read insurance vs cash for treatment before assuming the hospital can bill your insurer directly.

How do you book an appointment at Yanhee?
Use this general sequence and confirm each step with the hospital:
- Contact the international patient office by the channel listed on the hospital’s official website, and say which department you need.
- Send a short written summary: your goal, your medical history, current medicines, allergies and photos or reports if the department asks for them.
- Ask for the name of the doctor who will see you and request the quote in writing before you book flights.
- Ask what pre-visit tests are needed, how long you must stay in Bangkok, and what follow-up is included.
- Confirm transfers, accommodation and interpreter arrangements in the same message.
Keep a copy of every message. If you are travelling for surgery, the flying after surgery timeline will help you plan the return flight, and the medical tourism cost guide by procedure shows how Bangkok figures compare across treatments.
How should you read Yanhee hospital reviews?
Reviews of Yanhee mostly live on platforms with a commercial interest. Bookimed, for example, is a referral marketplace: it says clinics cannot pay to alter or remove reviews, but that is the platform’s own claim, and reviews may be selected. Wikipedia’s article on the hospital relies partly on promotional sources. Forum posts are single anecdotes.
Photos deserve the same caution. Pictures on listing sites are chosen to sell, and the hospital’s own building photos say nothing about clinical quality.
A useful way to read any review:
- Look for the department, procedure and date. A glowing review of a nurse tells you little about a surgeon.
- Check whether the reviewer names a doctor, and whether that doctor appears on the hospital’s own list.
- Weigh what went wrong and how it was handled, not the star rating.
- Be sceptical of reviews that arrive in bursts or repeat the same phrases.
- Look for first-hand details such as the wait, the interpreter, the invoice and follow-up care.
A 2015 Channel 4 News report found that no body in Thailand checks the accuracy of what clinics publish on their own sites, which is one more reason to verify independently.

How do you check the hospital and doctor before you pay?
- Accreditation. Ask JCI directly whether the hospital is currently accredited and when it expires.
- Doctor registration. Thai doctors must be registered with the Medical Council of Thailand, whose register can be searched by name or licence number. Confirm the licence is active and the name matches the one you were given.
- Specialty. A licensed doctor is not automatically a specialist in the procedure you want. Ask what Thai board certification the doctor holds.
- Advertising claims. Medical facility advertising in Thailand needs approval from the Department of Health Service Support. Verify the current rule with the official body before relying on any promotional claim.
What should you ask before booking?
- Which named doctor will treat me, and how often do they perform this exact procedure?
- Is the quote itemised, and what is excluded?
- What happens if I need an extra night, a repeat visit or corrective treatment, and who pays?
- Which tests do I need before I travel, and which can my home clinician do?
- Who will interpret for me during the consultation, and will consent forms be in a language I read?
- What follow-up is included, and how do I reach the hospital after I fly home?
- What records, such as operative notes, medication lists and implant details, will I receive?
Compare written quotes from more than one provider before paying a deposit. If you are still choosing, the comparison of mid-size private hospitals in Bangkok and the Bangkok hospital guide are good starting points.
Last verified: October 2026. Accreditation, services, access and prices change, so re-check the hospital’s written quote, JCI, the Medical Council register and the MRT route before acting.

Every page is researched from official and primary sources, and the text names them. Where a page shows a checked date, that is when its facts were last confirmed.
